Which is strongest? mg per pouch explained
Brands label strength in two different ways, which is why the numbers on the cans can mislead you:
- mg/g is the nicotine in each gram of pouch material. PABLO and KILLA use this.
- mg per pouch is the nicotine in one pouch. VELO uses this in the UK.
To compare them, multiply mg/g by the pouch weight. A PABLO Exclusive pouch is 50mg/g × about 0.6g, which comes to roughly 30mg per pouch. A KILLA Exclusive pouch is 16.5mg/g × about 0.8g, or roughly 13.2mg per pouch. VELO Freezing Peppermint is already labelled per pouch: 17mg, as Sainsbury's product listing also shows.
So KILLA Cherry Cola says "16mg" and VELO says "17mg", but the VELO pouch actually has about 4mg more nicotine. And a PABLO Exclusive pouch has nearly twice the nicotine of the VELO.
